  • Opinto-ohjaajat pyrkivät työssään auttamaan nuorta sovittamaan yhteen laveaa mahdollisuuksien maisemaa, perheiden odotuksia, nuoren toiveita ja ymmärrystä omasta osaamisestaan. Mitkä ovat ohjaustyön reunaehdot? Ovatko koulutusmahdollisuudet kaikille nuorille samat? Yleisöluennolla keskustellaan nuorten kohtaamisista, ohjauksen keinoista ja muodoista.

Biography

I work as a Collegium Researcher at the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS), and at the Department of Education, at the University of Turku years 2020-2022. I have a title of a Docent in Sociology of Education at the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Social Science.

Teaching

I give lectures on education policies and sociology of education and supervise thesis.

Research

My research has focused on equality in education, educational choices and biographies, educational trajectories of immigrant-background pupils, education policies and career guidance. My ongoing research focuses on career guidance policies at the local and national levels. I model the career guidance practices and examine the relational expertise and professionalism of career guidance.
