Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the organising committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 5th Nordic conference on subject education (NoFa5), to be held in Helsinki, Finland, in May 2015.

The first NoFa was organised in Oslo, Norway (2007), followed by conferences in Middelfart, Denmark (2009), Karlstad, Sweden (2011) and Trondheim, Norway (2013). We hope that by selecting English as the conference language in Helsinki 2015, we can open the conference also to colleagues from outside the Nordic countries.

The theme of NoFa5 in Helsinki is Changing Subjects, Changing Pedagogies: Diversities in School and Education. This, we argue, is a theme that is relevant for all researchers in subject education.

The organising committee expect an interesting and intellectually stimulating conference in Helsinki, offering a broad range of sessions and individual contributions. We will do our best to create a well-organised event with a convivial atmosphere.
