The call for applications is now open!

The call for applications for the workshop series on Sustainable consumption, everyday life and social change is now open. Deadline for applications is January 30th.

The workshops are divided into three themes: (1) contemporary research in the Nordic countries, (2) future theoretical and methodological challenges, and (3) policy and interventions. The workshops will be held in Helsinki (April 2-3, 2020), Copenhagen (December 2020) and Uppsala (early fall 2021). The objectives of the workshop series are to gather early-career researchers working with sustainable consumption, social practices and everyday life, to discuss theories, methodologies and their use in policy and practice, as well as to facilitate and support further collaboration by building a Nordic social practices research network. Each workshop includes keynote sessions on a specific topic as well as discussions and concrete planning of joint activities, such as articles, conference sessions and research proposals.

We now invite applications from early-career researchers (i.e. from doctoral students to PhDs of maximum five years at the time of application) in the first workshop  at the University of Helsinki, April 2-3.

25 participants will be accepted in the workshop. It is possible to participate in as few or many workshops. However, due to the objective of establishing a strong research network, applicants with the ambition of participating in all three workshops will be given priority. Our ambition is to cover sustainable travel and accommodation expenses for all participants.

Deadline for applications is January 30th. Applicants are notified by February 7th.
