Varför ville du bli tandläkare?

I gymnasiet började jag fundera på medi. Till sist valde jag tandläkare, man får jobba med sina händer och hjälpa människor. Mitt drömyrke är att bli käkkirurg, det går lite in på allmänmedicin och är kanske något mer krävande än att vara allmäntandläkare. Jag gjorde nyligen ett studiebesök på en hälsostation och följde med de som sysslade med käkkirurgi och då blev jag nog ännu säkrare på att det är det jag vill göra i framtiden.

Hur mycket läste du inför urvalsprovet?

Det är ganska knepigt, man måste behärska 3-4 ämnen väldigt bra och vara motiverad för att komma in. Preppkurs var inte riktigt min grej, det största ansvaret ligger ändå hos en själv och att man studerar tillräckligt mycket. Andra gången kom jag in och då började jag läsa i januari, då satt jag på bibban i princip varje dag.

Vad har du för råd till någon som funderar på att söka?

Det är ett väldigt bra val, så som det ser ut nu finns det bra med jobb för tandläkare. Men för att komma in måste man vara beredd att sätta mycket tid på att läsa.
