Lukion kemian ja biologian oppikirjat näyttävät tässä vaiheessa hieman tukevampiin opuksiin tottuneelle silmälleni kuin lastenkirjoilta. Samat luonnontieteiden perusasiat käydään kuitenkin läpi kaikissa teoksissa ja erot syntyvät ainoastaan yksityiskohtien määrästä. Esimakua opiskelusta sai farmasian pääsykokeesta, jossa testattiin orgaanisen kemian ja ihmisen fysiologian osaamista. Kokeessa olleet asiat olivat nimittäin juuri niitä, joita on opiskeltu koko ensimmäinen puolivuotinen. Jos saisin tehdä pääsykokeen nyt uudelleen, se menisi varmasti paremmin kuin sisään hakiessa.
