aanut täysin omavaltaisesti päättää opiskelukaupunkini, en luultavasti opiskelisi Helsingissä. Olen pienen maaseutupitäjän kasvatti, enkä kokenut erityisempiä haluja muuttaa kovin kauas kotipaikkakunnalta lukion jälkeen. Helsinki ei ollut minulle vielä lukion ensimmäisinä vuosina vaihtoehto, vaan suunnittelin hakeutuvani yliopistoon lähemmäksi kotiseutua.
Abivuotena kuitenkin aloin pohtimaan alavalintaani uudelleen. Kiinnostukseni heräsi elintarviketieteitä kohtaan. Helsingin yliopisto on ainoa laatuaan
Suomessa, sillä muualla ei tätä koulutusohjelmaa tarjota. Lopulta päätös oli niin selvä, etten edes hakenut muualle. Onnekseni paikka aukesi, joten syksyllä 2018 alkoi opintaipaleeni Viikin kampuksella.
