len väitöskirjatutkija Helsingin yliopiston historian ja kulttuuriperinnön tohtoriohjelmassa. Väitöskirjani käsittelee Suomen pitkäaikaisen ulkoasiainministerin Carl Enckellin roolia Suomen toisen maailmansodanjälkeisen ulkopolitiikan muodostamisessa. Väitöskirjani otsikko on “In the Eye of the Storm: Carl Enckell as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Finland’s Foreign Policy 1944-1950”. Metodini on henkilöhistoriallinen ja lainaa lähestymistapaa New Diplomatic History -koulukunnalta.
I’m a PhD student at the Doctoral Programme in History and Cultural Heritage at University of Helsinki. My dissertation project is titled ‘In the Eye of the Storm: Carl Enckell as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Finland’s Foreign Policy 1944-1950’. The research deals with Enckell’s role in the formulation of Finnish foreign policy in the aftermath of the Second World War, Enckell’s political views, and professional network. The approach is biographical and deeply contextual and draws methodologically from New Diplomatic History.
