P.2 Word processing

You can write notes and unformatted text with a text editor, but to create more complex documents, you will need a program called a word processor. With a word processor you can add images to a document, create tables, utilize structured data management with e.g. styles (read more about structured data), etc. In this section we will look at the following issues:

  • managing page settings
  • creating a table of contents
  • page numbering
  • using tables and images in a document
  • saving in different file formats and printing

The above mentioned functions will be presented using the Microsoft Word program. Most of the functions work similarly in most word processor programs, e.g. LibreOffice Writer.
