UniSAFE – Ending gender-based violence. New EU -project

There is a new, EU funded project, which mission is to provide fresh data about gender-based violence. The issue of gender-based harassment and violence is not only complex but also persistent in many organizations. The pandemic proportions adds another layer to the complexity.

The main research questions are:

  • How large is the prevalence of gender-based violence in European research performing organisations?
  • How is it affected by specific organisational structures and hierarchies of power?
  • Do EU States have the adequate legal or policy frameworks to bring institutional change?

There will be 45 institutions involved, three from Finland (still under development).
