The Helsinki City Hall was designed by C.L. Engel as a hotel in 1833 and the building has been the City Hall since the 1930s. The Helsinki coat-of-arms can be seen on the tympanum. With the exception of the facade, the building was completely rebuilt in 1967-1970 designed by the architect Aarno Ruusuvuori.

Allas Sea Pool
There is nothing more Finnish than SAUNA!

On Tuesday, July 2 or Wednesday, July 3 at 18:00h you will have the opportunity to experience the Finnish sauna at Allas Sea Pool.
Find out on which day you can participate in this activity here.

Allas Sea Pool offers electrically heated saunas, and the temperature inside is around 80°C. One favorite form of cooling is a dip in the sea water or, if you don’t feel that brave, in the warm water pool. Read everything about Allas Sea Pool here.

Please, notice that you must take your own swimsuit! Towels will be provided at the entrance of the venue.

Fun fact: Finns know the beneficial effects of sauna and, in the past, its hygienically conditions made it the perfect place to give birth!

Group Picture
A great week deserves a great picture for memory!

On Thursday, July 4 at 17:30h let’s meet at the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral (a.k.a. white cathedral) for a group picture!

Gala Dinner
There can be no ULLA Summer School without the Gala Dinner to provide a fitting ending to a busy but hopefully memorable week!

The Gala Dinner will take place on Friday, July 5 at 19:00h, at Restaurant Sipuli, housed in a historic red brick warehouse right under the Uspenski Cathedral.
Dress code: Smart casual

After the dinner, we will announce the winners of the Best Poster Award, Best Pitch, and Best Poster Display, as well as the Walking Tour and ULLA CUP winning teams!

The celebration continues until 2:00h with DJ Mehrdad to set the mood and make the night unforgettable!
