Viikki Tropical Resources Institute (VITRI) has been involved in development cooperation and capacity building activities since the early 1980’s. VITRI’s development activities are focused on the three following areas: 1) providing a research component in development projects, 2) linking science to development of policies and best practices, 3) building capacity and providing training in national development partner institutions.
