Happening whole week

<375> Environmental acts

We are collecting ideas from the students and the staff of the University about environmental acts. Share your own way of fulfilling environmental acts or tell us what kind of sustainable development would you like to see in the University of Helsinki. Find some post-it-notes and pencils on the hallway of the mainbuilding in every Campus and give us your ideas!

The Green Week will culminate on friday to a lottery! We have great prizes: gift vouchers to Helsingin Kirjamessut, Aleksanterin teatteri, Armas Keittiö & Viinitupa ja Ravintola Silvoplee. Go to like our facebook-page: facebook.com/vihertiimi and you’ll have a change to win one of our gift vouchers!

Clothes & stuff for refugees

Europe is currently facing a major refugee crisis. Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes and need our support. University of Helsinki Green Team organizes 5-9.10 collection for Helsinki reception centers in Viikki, Center, Kumpula and Meilahti campuses. The reception centers have a particular need for men’s casual clothes. The clothes must be clean and undamaged.

PLEASE read carefully what we’re collecting! We won’t be able to collect any other stuff.

Collection Needs:
Men: casual clothes (hoodies, casual pants, sweat pants, long-sleeved T-shirts), sneakers and winter boots
Women: leggings, tunics, winter shoes size 35-38
Both: backpacks and sports bags, as well as new socks and underwear.
Please separate different clothes, for examples a plastic bag containing only men’s clothes. This will greatly help the reception centers work.
