Maija Nousiainen, PhD, postdoctoral researcher

I’m a postdoctoral researcher in didactical physics. My research field is teaching and learning in physics teacher education and the aim of the research is to develop and improve the teaching. My research primarily concentrates to rather general and fundamental issues regarding learning. The research, however, is in central role in developing several practical teaching solutions and means to assess their success in achieving goals of physics teacher education. This kind of research helps us to discern most important general aspects that influence learning and specify the background ideas behind new teaching approaches.
