« Que pensez-vous de la Finlande ? »

Chaque année, des étudiants français viennent dans notre université à Helsinki pour faire leur échange. Il est bientôt temps de dire au revoir à la plupart d’entre eux, mais avant cela nous avons voulu leur demander comment s’est passé leur séjour et bien sûr une question dont la réponse intéresse beaucoup les Finlandais : « Qu’est-ce que vous pensez de la Finlande ? » Voici nos questions et les réponses de Ninon, Clara et Nathan.

 

  1. Pourquoi avez-vous choisi la Finlande pour votre échange universitaire ?
  2. Quels étaient vos impressions de la Finlande avant de venir ici et quels sont vos impressions maintenant ?
  3. Comment, à votre avis, est l’université de Helsinki ? Quelles sont les différences entre les études en France et la Finlande ?

  1. « La Finlande n’est pas très connue en France et j’ai voulu découvrir un nouveau pays et une nouvelle culture. Partir en Finlande était pour moi l’occasion de voir quelque chose de différent »
  2. « Avant de venir ici je savais que la Finlande était un pays froid, que les gens appréciaient la nature, qu’il y avait beaucoup de lacs et que la plupart des finlandais étaient blonds. L’impression que j’ai de la Finlande maintenant est beaucoup plus variée. Ici, il y a un vrai climat de sécurité qu’on ne trouve pas en France. L’atmosphère est vraiment agréable puisque beaucoup de choses sont basées sur la confiance mutuelle »
  3. « J’ai adoré mon séjour à l’université, je pense que les cours sont plus détendus, moins formels et plus animés que ceux dispensés en France. Il y a beaucoup plus d’interaction entre les étudiants et les profs ici. »

  1. « J’ai choisi la Finlande entre 5 autres possibilités parce que je voulais découvrir une nouvelle culture mais aussi un nouveau climat et vivre au moins une fois un “vrai hiver”. »
  2. « Avant mon séjour j’avais comme idée reçue que les Finlandais étaient froids. Maintenant je dirai plutôt qu’ils sont timides et respectueux envers les autres et leurs espaces. »
  3. “J’ai eu une très bonne expérience à l’université de Helsinki. Il y a quelques différences entre la France et la Finlande, par exemple les cours ne sont pas découpés de la même façon ; en France il y a deux semestres et entre les deux certains cours changent. En Finlande c’est découpé en périodes à l’intérieur des semestres. Le nombre d’élèves dans un cours est bien plus inférieur en Finlande : j’ai pu avoir cours avec 6 autres élèves tandis qu’en France le minimum est 30.”

  1. « J’ai eu le choix entre la Norvège, la Suède et la Finlande mais Helsinki était la seule capitale disponible donc j’ai choisi la Finlande. »

Ce système se rapproche plus de comment j’imaginais l’université avant d’y être. En plus les services proposés par l’université sont d’une meilleure qualité qu’en France en terme de restauration et d’avantages étudiants tel que l’uni sport ou la carte étudiante avec l’application Frank.
