Mahidol University Salaya Campus (Nakhon Pathom) is located not far from Bangkok. Traveling there is convenient. There are various cultural attractions and sustainable agricultural tourism communities including nationally important religious sites located near to the university. In the university campus, there are exercise facilities and Sireeruckhachati Nature Learning Park, a place for nature study and walks. The university is nationally awarded as a green university for its natural beauty. Each school building is beautifully decorated in a unique style. Transportation within the campus is possible by walking and tram. In this area, there is a large shopping mall located near to the university, which is about 10 minutes by bus.

How to get to there?

The most convenient way to come to the campus is taking a taxi. You can simply tell the driver to go to “Mahidol Salaya”. From Bangkok downtown, the cost is around 5-8 euro. From Suvarnabhumi airport, the cost is around 15-20 euro.

Accommodation and life around the campus

The accommodation is not included in the fee, but assistance in finding one near the campus area can be provided upon request. You can also look for an accommodation near the campus through online booking services such as Expedia, Agoda and Booking.

The price range of nearby hotels is around 12-20 euro per night. From the hotels it takes 5-15 minutes to walk to the campus. However, if you do not want to walk, there are motorcycle taxi stands available in every corner. The cost of the service is just 0.50 euro. The Summer School is organized at Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA) or in Thai this is “สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย”.

For food in general, one dish costs around 40 baht, while drinks are about 30-50 baht. There are 7-Eleven grocery stores, university cafeteria, restaurants, and cafés in the school building. In front of the university, there is street food market with many types of food to choose from Thai, Chinese, Japanese to European. Behind the university, there is a fresh market, a large community market with fresh food, vegetables, and fruits. There is also a large cafeteria with a wide selection of menus that sell at local reasonable prices. Beside the university, there is Tang Sin Road. This is an alley with student dormitories where there are restaurants open day and night.

PayPal: the invoice will be sent to your email within 3 working days after having completed the registration form below and the secured payment can be made through the PayPal system.

Participants with a Thai bank account can also make the payment through e-payment service.

Cancellation policy

If you have already paid the tuition fee, but are no longer able to attend the Summer School, please contact the organisers as soon as possible. Refund deadline is 30 May 2022.

*Please note that for a refund we will ask you to pay 500 baht for administration costs. Refunds will be issued no earlier than August.
