Economics as Serviceable Social Knowledge (ESSK)

“Economics as Serviceable Social Knowledge (ESSK): Philosophical Investigations on the Policy Relevance of Economics in Post-Pandemic Society” is an Academy of Finland research project (2021-2025) based at TINT, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland.

ESSK aims to provide an improved philosophical understanding of the potentials and limitations of economics as a policy relevant social science faced with the grand challenges of our time. Such deeper understanding will be of significance to both those who produce economic knowledge and those who use it.
