Laura Savolainen

I am Laura Savolainen. I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. I am part of the Datafied Life Collaboratory -research group and the CROWDINFRA– and REPAIR-projects. My current work is focused on governance of and through social media algorithms, and platformed AI data labour within the sciences. I work with various methodologies, viewing digital data and algorithms as not just objects but also tools of critical research. I envision practical solutions and ignite discussions on how to live better with digital media and algorithmic systems.
