Pre-seminar visits by bus. Meeting point in Helsinki railway square, Mikonkatu at 8:30 a.m.

Two buses for 90 persons from 8:30 a.m. till 4 p.m. Lunch included. Accompanying persons 60 EUR.

The Viikki Campus Library serves, in addition to the university staff and students, everyone who needs information about biological and environmental sciences, agriculture and forestry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. The library is located on the Viikki Campus in the Info Centre Korona, which comprises mainly the Viikki Campus Library and the Viikki Library of the Helsinki City Library.

The Meilahti Campus Library Terkko offers information in health and medical science for students, researchers, doctors, healthcare workers, and everyone who is interested in health topics. Terkko is responsible for the information services of the University of Helsinki Faculty of Medicine and the Helsinki University Central Hospital (HUCH) and functions as the  WHO Documentation Centre in Finland. Terkko is located in the Meilahti hospital area on Haartmaninkatu.
 Aalto University and the Learning Hub at Otaniemi

Learning Hub Greenhouse at the Computer Science Building is the third prototype of the project in Otaniemi campus. It is a user-driven learning space open for everyone, from students to university staff, from company representatives to general public. It serves as a meeting point, venue for varying events, working space or a cozy living room where people from different backgrounds and varying disciplines come together to communicate, collaborate and discover. Interaction between strangers is encouraged.

Visit to the Sibelius Academy Library and Helsinki Music Centre or the Helsinki University Library, Behavioural Science Library Minerva. 30 persons each. Or the Library of Parliament, 20 persons. Free of charge. From 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m.

The Sibelius Academy Library is an information and learning environment servicing the Academy’s tuition, research, and artistic functions. In the new Helsinki Music Centre, the Library is a notable representative of the Academy’s high level of expertise in music. The Library is up-to-date and provides versatile services for the music community.

 Minerva is located in Siltavuorenpenger by the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences.
 Library of Parliament

The Library of Parliament is open to the public. In addition to serving the Parliament of Finland, the library serves all who need parliamentary, legal, or social and political information.

The Helsinki University Main Library in Kaisa House is the most ambitious project of the Helsinki World Design Capital year, which shapes both the cityscape and services. The building represents new award-winning Finnish architecture. It has been awarded e.g. the 2012 Critics’ Spurs award.
