DEVELOP Seminar 2022

  We participated in the DEVELOP Academy Programme Seminar 2022 on 27th October in Helsinki Finland. This seminar was for the projects participated in the Develop Academy Programme, which is a programme jointly funded by the Academy of Finland and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Our team presented the poster of our project, “Superior grain safety with designed mycotoxin binding properties (POWERGRAIN)“.Also, Dr. Maina (Project leader) participated in the panel discussion and shared his thoughts on improving this programme.

World Mycotoxin Forum 2022

We participated in the World Mycotoxin Forum 2022 from 16th to 18th May in Parma Italy. The weather was really nice and the conference was very useful. We expanded our knowledge of mycotoxins and made the connection with other research groups.

Sun and Jenna presented the posters. The titles of the posters were “Adsorption of aflatoxin B1 and fumonisin B1 by maize, wheat, and oat brans” and “Detoxification of aflatoxin B1 by microbial binding”.

Through the conference, we shared the idea of our research and concreted the plan for further research.
