The research is approved by the ethics committee of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Participation in our research is voluntary. All interviews are anonymous; we do not gather personal data such as full names, passport details, tax and social security numbers, dates of birth, or places of work or study, or bank credentials. We analyze the data in a generalized form and do not use it to the detriment of our respondents.
