DPDR doctoral candidates are invited to joint seasonal party organized for the doctoral students in four quite different, yet excellent doctoral programs of the University of Helsinki: Brain & Mind, LUOVA, DPDR, and ILS.
Let’s meet 5.12.2017 at 18:00 o’clock in Le Bonk with Street Food, Club Drinks, Slow Rhythms, and Good Company. The continental style club is reserved just for us until 22.00 o’clock we can stay longer if we like – there’s just some normal people joining the club at that time. And the bonus is we can continue until the very 100th birthday of Finland 4 o’clock in the morning December 6th!

29th Annual Symposium of the Finnish Society of Physical Pharmacy
Current trends in pharmaceutical preformulation and manufacturing process design
8.-9.2.2018, Hotel Crowne Plaza, Helsinki
The 2-day symposium will focus on the current trends in pharmaceutical preformulation and manufacturing process design. Invited speakers include Dr. Pirjo Tajarobi (AstraZeneca), Dr. Ruzica Kolakovic (Janssen), Dr. Satu Lakio (Orion), Dr. Petteri Heljo (Novo Nordisk), Dr. Sami Svanbäck (University of Helsinki) and Dr. Ossi Korhonen (University of Eastern Finland). Detailed program of the event will be announced later in November.
The society invites authors to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the symposium. The best poster will be awarded with the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society prize of 200 euros. The deadline for poster abstracts and presenter registration is 20.10.2017.

30 Years of Drug Delivery Research symposium is held on June 12-13, 2017 in Kuopio.
The symposium is organized in honor of Arto Urtti’s 60th birthday and features a wide range of international speakers in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
On the previous day, 11th of June, Controlled Release Society’s Nordic Chapter Meeting is also held at the same venue.
The symposiums are held in the beautiful lake country near the city of Kuopio.
Gala dinner and fun activities are also included. The full conference is free for PhD Students in Finland.
You can register for the both of the symposiums or alternatively only for one via
registration website.

The registration is now open, but there is limited seats available.

Kliininen lääketutkimus 2017 –kurssi 18.-19.5.17 – Rekisteröityminen avattu

Helsingin yliopiston lääketutkimuksen tohtoriohjelma ja Suomen kliinisen farmakologian yhdistys r.y. järjestävät toukokuussa Kliininen lääketutkimus 2017 –kurssin, joka sopii niin tohtorikoulutettaville, tutkijoille, erikoistuville kuin muillekin kliinisistä lääketutkimuksista kiinnostuneille.
Kurssi tarjoaa perustiedot kliinisen lääketutkimuksen suunnittelusta, eettisistä piirteistä, menetelmistä ja arvioinnista. Kurssi antaa myös perusvalmiudet toimia tutkijana tutkijalähtöisissä tai teollisuuden tekemissä kliinisissä lääketutkimuksissa. Tarkempi ohjelma julkaistaan myöhemmin.
Ilmoittautuminen alkaa huhtikuussa ja tästä tiedotetaan erikseen myöhemmin. Kurssin ajankohta kannattaa kuitenkin pistää jo tässä vaiheessa talteen.
Osallistuminen on maksuton lääketieteellisten tiedekuntien jatkokoulutuksessa oleville ja kaikille tutkijakoulujen ja tohtoriohjelmien opiskelijoille. Julkisen sektorin ja tutkimuskeskusten edustajille (mm. yliopistot, sairaalat ja eettiset toimikunnat) hinta on 100 €. Muille kurssin hinta on 300 €.

The Graduate school of Health in the University of Aarhus and Doctoral school in health sciences in the University of Helsinki have agreed on a partnership in doctoral training by signing an international agreement (see: Announcement in AU web site). The agreement enables, for example, Doctoral student exchange and participation to courses without fees.
