This year’s summer course “Managing Sustainable Forest Landscapes” just started as part of the Helsinki Summer School. The new group consists of 25 participants from 12 different countries in Europe, Africa and the Americas. The participants are leaving to Hyytiälä Forest Field Station today and will stop at a harvesting site, visit a packaging mill and take a walk at Helvetinjärvi national park; they will back in Helsinki after a couple of days. Expect more picture later!
VITRI exploratory visit to Mexico (part 2)
After the visit to Oaxaca in Mexico, VITRI staff members Adrián Monge and Breck Miller continue working at the CONAFOR central offices in Guadalajara and from there visited a couple of Ejidos in Jalisco State and interviewed different stakeholders involved in the forestry sector in Jalisco (click for more pictures).
