’Share & Win!’ – Online Marketing of Alcohol

The Swedish ‘Alkohol & Narkotika’ magazine published on Monday an article about our Online Marketing of Alcohol (OMA) project. The journal has interviewed CEACG-researcher Mikaela Lindeman.

The article focuses on the Finnish law banning the involvement of social media followers in alcohol advertisement. It also discusses the preliminary finding that the law, which has received criticism, seems to have the sought for effect.

The Swedish Council for Information on Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAN) is the publisher of Alkohol & Narkotika’ and also the Swedish project partner in the study.

CAN is a non-governmental organization that follows drug trends in Sweden and informs the public and educate professionals on alcohol and other drugs. It published national reports and surveys, running web sites for different target groups, publishing a periodical magazine, arranging trainings and conferences and through our library.

Monitoring and research activities at the CAN is connected with a research group at the Karolinska Institutet.
