UH Chinese Studies is proud to announce that our PhD candidate, Kaisa Kantola, has been awarded a 23000 EURO grant from the Joel Toivola Foundation. Joel Toivola Foundation has supported a lot of Finnish humanistic and social science research on China. In fact, our lecturer, Dr. Tiina Airaksinen, has also been awarded a travel grant from the same foundation to present her paper in the European Association for Chinese Studies conference in St. Petersburg, Russia, this August.
