FIIA is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow or Research Professor for its Global Security Research Programme. Research foci can include, but are not limited to, the domestic context of China’s and other East Asian states’ foreign policy; China’s increasing influence in East Asia and beyond; regional responses to China’s rise and comparisons to other regional and global actors; China’s stance towards global governance and international organizations; trade relations, connectivity strategies, digital agenda and economic policies; and global implications of growing competition with other great powers in Asia.

The appointment will take effect in May 2022 at the earliest and will run until the end of 2025 in line with the completion of the next three-year programme period (2023-2025). An extension of the appointment can be considered after the expiration of the first fixed term.
