Johanna Jääsaari and Jockum Hildén have published a research report “European Pirate Parties and the Politics of Communication“. The report presents findings from the project Communication rights in the 2014 European Election Campaign.
Edited book on newspapers in the changing media landscape
A new book on the role of newspapers in the changing media landscape in Finland will be published in September, together with the Economic Information Office (Taloudellinen tiedotustoimisto TAT). The book will be launched at the Mediafoorumi 2014 event. The book, “Sanomalehti uudessa mediamaisemassa”, will be published in Finnish, and it is edited by member of the FACE-project team, Katja Lehtisaari. Writers include FACE members Hannu Nieminen and Kari Karppinen.
New doctoral dissertation
Member of the FACE-project team, Anette Alén-Savikko will defend her doctoral dissertation Law and Community in the New Media Landscape: Critical Perspectives on Audiovisual Sport Coverage in the European Union on May 16 (Lecture hall 13, University main building, Fabianinkatu 33). The opponents are professor Ahti Saarenpää (University of Lapland) and professor Peter Humphreys (University of Manchester) and the Custos is professor Niklas Bruun. Good luck!
Workshop on communication rights
