After presenting the initiative in Manchester, the Digitization Project of Kindred Languages is heading towards the next phase by inviting the researchers to join the discussion over the follow-up project for the 2014-2016. The briefing is mainly directed to those, who have received the grant for their research from the Kone Foundation and are doing their research within the Language Programme. Equally, this session will be perfect for those, who are interested in exploring new opportunities within the field of the Finno-Ugric languages.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the work completed at the National Library of Finland during the pilot phase and give the researchers an idea what we can do for you when it comes for providing the supportive material for your research.
In addition to that, we would like to discuss about our experiences and pre-conditions when it comes to producing the language material from the Russian libraries and how they could be made available for the researchers. Also, the project members of NLF will highlight issues which are related to the copyrights, infrastructure, scheduling the work etc.
The discussion will take place at the Lecture room of Fabiania at 13:00. Entrance from Yliopistonkatu – use the buzzer to have an access to the building and climb up the stairway to the second floor.
If you have any questions in prior to our meeting, please, don’t hesitate to contact the project manager in person by e-mail or phone: email@example.com / +358 9 191 317 5504. Check also the Fenno-Ugrica collection and basic information on the Pilot Project to revise your thoughts.
