Today, we have released the ultimately final set of materials in the course of Minority Languages Project. There are now three more journals from Komi (Udarnik, Kultura front and Vyԉ voјvyv) and three journals from Udmurtia (Proletаr kylburet udysyn, Piči demenči and Kuzʹyli) at the Fenno-Ugrica collection.

Early Publications of Finno-Ugrian Society and Finnish Antiquarian Society have been released in Fenno-Ugrica
The National Library of Finland has released the early publications of two learned societies at the Fenno-Ugrica collection. The release consist of 130 monograph and journal titles of Finno-Ugrian Society and 64 from the Finnish Antiquarian Society.

Reinholm’s Romani Word List Deciphered
During the ongoing summer, the staff of Minority Languages Project at the National Library of Finland has been fully employed in making the digitized items more available and usable for the public. One of the tasks has been the transcription of Romani word list of Henrik August Reinholm from the 19th century. The transcription is now openly available at the Fenno-Ugrica collection.
Culture Journals in Mari and Udmurt Languages Available at Fenno-Ugrica
The National Library of Finland has published several journals in Mari and Udmurt languages in the course of Minority Languages Project. The journals do reflect the cultural lives of the Udmurt and Mari intellegentsia in the 1920s and the 1930 as they are rich in prose, drama and poetry.
National Library releases resources in Sami languages for free online use
The National Library’s Digitisation Project of Minority Languages has digitised Sami language resources for online use. The resources are available freely through the Fenno-Ugrica collection.
More Komi-Zyrian Monographs at Fenno-Ugrica
In the course of the Minority Languages Project, the National Library of Finland has relased the next set of materials in Uralic languages at Fenno-Ugrica. There are now available more than 120 monographs in Komi-Zyrian, mainly from the late 1920s and the early 1930s. Continue reading
On Nenets Literature
In the course of Minority Languages Project, the National LIbrary of Finland has released 21 books in Nenets and about the Nenets at the Fenno-Ugrica collection. The released items are a logical continuum to the monographs in Nenets, which were published in Fenno-Ugrica during the Digitzation Project of Kindred Languages.
International Romani Day – Zingarica Collection Released
The International Romani Day will be celebrated on the 8th of April. In the course of this event, the National Library of Finland is proud to release the Zingarica online collection. The material has been digitized within the Minority Languages Project, and it is funded by Kone Foundation.
More Data, Improved Quality
As of March 2016, we have started to release the revised versions of monograph items in Fenno-Ugrica collection. Based on vocabulary that gathered in the proof-reading campaign during summer 2015, we have enhanced our OCRing (optical text recognition) procedures and managed to improve the quality of monographs.
Political literature of 1930’s from Komi Republic is available at Fenno-Ugrica
Digitized political legal deposit materials received from the The Komi National Library are now set at Fenno-Ugrica portal. 97 monographs in Komi-Zyrian language written in Molodtsov alphabet have been loaded on the Special collection of Fenno-Ugrica called “Komi National Library”. Continue reading
