Comparative perspectives on political science and gender

The Finnish political science association (FPSA) is organising an international conference in Helsinki together with the University of Helsinki Faculty of Sociel Sciences, International Political Science Association (IPSA), and the Nordic Political Science Association (NoPSA).

The focus of the conference is to reflect on the current state of political science and gender studies from the perspectives of globalisation and/or its effects on Nordic societies. In addition to recent economic crisis, the increasing migration and multiculturalism in Nordic societies as well as the rise of support for populist parties bring challenges and new insights for both political decision-making and political science as a discipline.

The organisers warmly welcome scholars and students as well other participants interested in the topics.

Registration fee is 100 euros for representatives of outside organisations (i.e. participants who are not members of any national political science association).
