Author Bio – Helsinki Street Food Vendors

A man standing in front of a bright window wearing an orange shirt.Dr Chaitawat Boonjubun is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland. His research interests focus on migration, intersectionality, informality, and understanding the social, political, economic, and cultural determinants of urban land use, the discourses and practices of urban regeneration, and the politics of public lands. He is currently a grant recipient of the Finnish Cultural Foundation for postdoctoral research on Thai berry pickers in Finland and a coordinator for the Social Dialogue in Defence of Vulnerable Groups in Post-Covid-19 Labour Markets (DEFEN-CE), a research project funded by the Directorate-General for Employment, the European Commission. He obtained his Master of Science in Gender from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and his Doctor of Social Sciences from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Helsinki. He was born and raised in Thailand.
