Author Bio- Vanesa Martín Galán

Vanesa Martín Galán is a postdoc researcher in Indigenous Studies at the University of Helsinki and anthropology at the University of Gothenburg. Her research interests are global environmental challenges and Indigenous ontologies. Martin Galan has a PhD in Social Anthropology from the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg. During her PhD studies, she conducted research with the Guarani communities in the Bolivia’s lowlands exploring the topic of climate change. Currently, she is working in the same geographical region and focuses on pollution and waste issues. She is particularly interested in engaging with collaborative and Indigenous research methodologies that prioritize community engagement and accountability.
