Since Seili is an island we are taking the ferry (M/S Norrskär) there from Turku on 26th at 10:00 am. We will meet at 9:40 at the pier. We will back in Turku on 28th at 18:15.The ferry trip takes about two hours.
How to get to Turku from Helsinki
- By bus from Helsinki to Turku: Matkahuolto.fi and Onnibus.com.
- By train from Helsinki to Turku (vr.fi)
You’ll get the tickets cheaper when you buy them online in advance.
How to get to the ferry pier
The pier where we meet is located about 1,5 km from Turku city center. Address is Läntinen Rantakatu 37.
How to get there to the pier:
- Walking: The pier is located on the west side of the Aura river, about 1,5 km from Turku city center. From there the easiest way to get to the pier is along the riverbank.
- By train: From the train station it’s about 1,5 km walking to the pier.
Train timetables: www.vr.fi - By bus: The Turku bus station is about 2 km from the pier. City bus 1 stops close to the pier, the stop is called ”Sairashuoneenpuisto”. Timetables for the city buses: www.foli.fi. Timetables and tickets for long distance buses: www.matkahuolto.fi and www.onnibus.com.
- By car: There are only 2h and 12h parking spaces close to the pier. Along Linnankatu there is free parking.

If you need to join us later in Seili:
It is also possible to reach Seili by another public ferry (M/S Östern) which operates from Nauvo (Nagu in Swedish). The ferry runs three times daily; timetable . The 5-km trip takes ca. 30 min and the ticket costs 7 euros per person. The pier is at the guest harbor in Nauvo kirkkokylä.
To get to Nauvo, you can take a bus from Turku. If you approach from the direction of Helsinki, you can change into that bus at a bus stop called Piispanristi. Please note that when changing buses, you need to cross the road and walk 100-200 meters east to reach the other busstop called Piispanristi. For many of the connections, you can also change into the very same bus even in Turku, which may be easier. Bus timetables Turku-Nauvo (in Finnish) and Helsinki-Piispanristi(-Turku); do check the matching of the bus timetable(s) and the ferry timetable carefully.
You can also arrive in Nauvo by car. Please reserve enough time for the trip: there’s an additional ferry (free of charge) on the way, and you may have to wait for it (up to 15 min). At rush hours, you have to queue even longer. Also note that cars are not allowed on Seili, so reserve time for parking as well. There is a large parking space on the left when you arrive in Nauvo.
