Covid-related information:

We kindly ask you to participate in the conference only if you do not have any covid-related symptoms. Participants are also asked to take care of good hand hygiene and keep a safe distance to others. Venue

The main venue of the conference is located at the City Centre Campus of the University of Helsinki: Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, Fabianinkatu 24 (3rd floor).

Monday 20th of June – A Dinner for the speakers at Restaurant Särkänlinna

The restaurant is situated on an island, a few minute ferry ride from the mainland. The ferry departs from the Ullanlinna pier, next to the Café Ursula in the Kaivopuisto park shore.

The easiest way to get there by public transport is to take the tram line 2 from Senaatintori to Olympiaterminaali, from which the pier is a 10-minute walk away.

A joint departure from the Ullanlinna pier will leave at 18.00. We recommend that you arrive to the pier at least 5 minutes in advance. If you miss this departure, you can take the next ferry – they leave every 20 minutes. Click here for Särkkä ferry timetables

Tuesday 21st of June – A dinner for the speakers at Ateljé Finne

Arkadiankatu 14, 00100 Helsinki

The restaurant is a 15 min walk from HCAS building. Other option is to take the metro from the University of Helsinki to Kamppi, from which the restaurant is a 5-minute walk away.

Due to the limited space at the restaurant, the dinner is for speakers and event organizers only.

Transportation from the Airport

Information on public transportation (trains and buses) between the Helsinki Airport and the city centre can be found on the HSL website. Most travelers prefer the train. Please note that you need to buy a ticket (regional ticket) from an HSL ticket machine or HSL app before taking the escalator down to the platform.
