About

Climate University is a network of higher education institutions and other stakeholders to foster climate and sustainability education in higher education and in the society.

Climate University was established in 2018 as part of “Multidisciplinary digital learning in sustainability challenges – flexible study paths to the working life” project (2018-2020) funded by Ministry of Education and Culture, Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and the participating 11 higher education institutions.

The network has grown since and in the end of 2022, 27 higher education institutions have so far signed cross-study agreements that allow all students from these institutions to take Climate University courses from other partner institutions.
