The conference takes place in the City Centre Campus of the University of Helsinki.
All presentations are held in the new side of the Main building, Fabianinkatu 33.

Technical information for presenters


Each paper is allocated a time slot of 30 minutes,
which includes 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for the discussion.


Each data session is allocated a time slot of 90 minutes.
Please, bring 30 copies of a working transcript for your data fragment.
If your data is not English-based, please include a line-by-line translation.
You can also provide morphemic glosses in the transcript and subtitles in the video.

Presentation equipment in the University of Helsinki

University of Helsinki provides computer (Windows with Office 2013 programs, VLC media player), projector and audio devices in every room. Computer has internet connection.

We recommend to use this computer.

Make your presentation in Powerpoint 2013- or PDF-format and download your presentation to a USB-stick or an external hard-drive.

Using your own computer

Connecting your own Windows laptop to the presentation devices is possible via VGA-cable. For audio, your computer must have 3,5mm audio output. Different operating systems are supported. If you are using Windows10 operating system it’s particularly important to test your equipment in advance at the conference room.

If you are using Mac, please bring a Mini-Display port to VGA-adapter with you.



ICCAP offers access to the University of Helsinki’s Wifi for all participants.



Technical help is available in location during conference. We recommend each presenter to test devices before presentation, especially if audio or video is included.

Please, notice that the staff might not be able to give full support for participants’ personal computers.
