Helping Portugal is not a problem, creating the right incentives for banks is

Tuomas Ylä-Anttila comments the bailout package for Portugal and the recent elections in Finland in the Portuguese newspaper I:

“The ultra-liberalist Ireland collected hardly any taxes from its own companies and citizens. Greece faked their statistics. Why should Portugal not be helped if they were?”

“The poor in Finland have not seen much of the economic growth in recent years. Work is becoming precarious and income differences are exploding. The election results are a reaction to the failure of previous governments in these matters.”
