Digital leap in education: 2nd round starts on 9 October

Launched in January 2017, the project for a digital leap in education supports the pedagogically meaningful use of digitalisation in teaching and learning in the new degree programmes. The project will be carried out in the 2017–2020 period. In the first round of applications concerning the project, 15 Bachelor’s programmes were selected. Find out more about them: https://blogs.helsinki.fi/digiloikka/projekti/

In the second round of applications concerning the project, 20 Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes will be selected. The second round of applications will involve two stages taking place between 9 and 27 October 2017.

1) Registration for the application process with the e-form, 9–22 October 2017. Link to the form:

2) Presentation of the degree programme’s digital leap venture and participation in a discussion session. Sessions are organised on Thursday 26th and on Friday 27th of October 2017 and they are open to public. Each applicant has 5 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. Applicants will receive instructions for the sessions after 22 October.

In the second round, both Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes will be selected. Terms of application:

  • Programmes that have applied for and received funding cannot apply again.
  • The resources will be allocated on the basis of applications and plans, not equally between the selected programmes.
  • The applications will be published in the project blog. Later project plans, including the presentations for the second round of applications, must be openly available (e.g., in the applicant’s blog or similar public forum, or in the Digiloikka blog).
  • Participating in the application process and the project itself is a collective effort that requires participation in joint meetings and the sharing of experiences with the University community.
