The Historical Homicide Monitor was developed in the ”Nordic Homicide from Past to Present” project which brought together Nordic criminologists and historians researching lethal violence. The project was initiated and directed by Prof. Janne Kivivuori from University of Helsinki. After the project, the research team reorganized itself as the Historical Homicide Network. The network Steering Committee administers the HHM codebook, and the cumulative merged dataset of the network. The current network members are listed below (with the affiliations they had during the Nordic Homicide from Past to Present project).
