Helsinki University Library has a new service price list from September 1, 2010.
Helsinki University Library was formed on January 1, 2010 when the Campus and Faculty libraries , and the Undergraduate Library became one administrative unit. Earlier these libraries had their own service price lists. As one administrative unit Helsinki University Library needs a common price list for all libraries.
According to the new service price list reservation fees will only be charged for textbooks. To keep books in circulation a fee of 2 euros will be charged for reservations that are not picked up.
Overdue fines will be doubled.
With these changes Helsinki University Library wants to expedite circulation and support research and study in book intensive fields.
