OvidToday on uusi iPad app, jonka avulla Vertexin kautta löytyvien Ovid-lehtien käyttö on muuttunut entistä vaivattomammaksi. Voit selata lehtiä, laittaa suosikkilehtesi omaan hyllyysi ja tallentaa tärkeimmät luettavat artikkelit. OvidToday on maksuton sovellus Terkon Vertex-palvelun asiakkaille. Kannattaa todella olla Terkon asiakas!
With OvidToday, users can:
- Browse specialty categories and select journals to follow
- Stay current with the latest journal content
- Read the PDF of any article
- Add articles to a personal reading list for later use, even offline
- Access journals at home or work
4 Easy Steps!
1) Download the OvidToday app
Available for download – AT NO EXTRA CHARGE – on the Apple App Store (itunes.apple.com)
2) Tap “Let’s get started” and follow the on-screen instructions
If users are logged in on the network, the app should automatically recognize them.
3) Enter an Ovid Personal Account ID
If a user doesn’t have a Personal Account, OvidToday will prompt them to create one and provide easy-to-follow steps; administrators must make sure they have enabled Personal Accounts for their institution.
4) Start browsing favorite journals
Users will have access to all the most recent issues of your institution’s Ovid-subscribed journal content; new issues are added automatically once available on Ovid.
Vertex/Ovid-palvelua voidaan käyttää myös organisaation verkon ulkopuolisilta koneilta pyytämällä HELSU-käyttäjätunnus (HY ja HYKS henkilökunta ja opiskelijat) osoitteesta: terkko-tunnus [ ät ] helsinki.fi. Vertex-palvelu sisältää lääke- ja hoitotieteen keskeisimmät tietokannat, lukuisia e-kirjoja sekä satojen tieteellisten lehtien kokotekstiartikkelit.
