Lingonet language courses are available on Ellibs’ front page during the campaign time until the end of May 2017.
The campaign includes eight Lingonet courses: four LingoPix courses for studying the basics of each language and four LingoPro courses for increasing your language skills needed in work related interactions.
Several Asian studies resources are now on trial in AsiaPortal. Of special interest are South Asia Archive and NKnews.
South Asia Archive contains books and journals on various subjects ranging from culture to medicine from the 18th to the 20th century.
NKnews is a news and intelligence service concentrating on North Korea. The service contains tools for analysis, which, for instance, make it possible to track the North Korean leaders.
Other trials are the Chinese Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) net Database and Social Sciences Journals Database from Renmin university and the Japanese Fuzoku Gaho Magazine.

The South Asia Archive is a searchable digital archive of diverse material, mainly primary resources, from the mid-18th to the mid-20th Century. Focusing on South Asia, the Archive contains both reports, rare books, and journal runs. The documents in the Archive reflects the varied range of knowledge production in colonial and early post-colonial India in fields including: culture & society, industry & economy, science, technology & medicine, urban planning & administration, politics & law.
The material is sourced from collectors and archivists in India by the South Asia Research Foundation.

Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) net Database
The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) net Database includes research report databases and special databases. The platform provides series of information products including DRC Report, Macroeconomic Report, Finance China, Industry Economic Report, Financial and Economic Database-Statistical Database for Various Industries and so on, in all 36 bibliographic databases and 56 statistical databases. Social Sciences Journals Database from Renmin university
Social Sciences Journals Database from Renmin university includes full-text access to journals in the areas of political and social sciences, law, philosophy, economics and management, literature and arts, education, history, cultural information, media and others since 1995. In Chinese.

On request, we have a new trial to Fuzoku Gaho. Fuzoku Gaho was the first graphic magazine produced in Japan, and is also known as a major journal source for the research of customs and social mores.
The magazine was published from 1889 to 1916 and contains a total of 518 issues covering content pertaining to social and cultural trends and conditions in the Edo, Meiji and Taisho periods, customs, history, literature, things/objects and affairs, geography (regional and world), war and disasters.
Fuzoku Gaho is a part of JapanKnowledge and will be available on trial via the Library section of JapanKnowledge from 15 October.

The large French language dictionary Le Petit Robert de la langue française and the reference book Le Petit Robert des noms propres have been united into the online version called Le Petit Robert Encyclopédique.
Le Petit Robert Encyclopédique describes accurately the French language and increases knowledge of French culture and different sciences from prehistory to 
the present.
The reference book contains 300 000 words with complete inflections, more than 40 000 proper names, 35 000 literary citations, a chronology, an interactive atlas and 2 000 illustrations. It includes multifaceted search options, e.g. phonetic and etymological functions. The content is updated monthly.

eKorean Studies database will no longer be available through AsiaPortal after the end of February. Instead we will have access to DBpia journal database and KRpia Korean studies database.
Access to DBpia ja KRpia databases is already working through AsiaPortal.
DBpia is a multidisciplinary full-text database of journal articles published by major Korean research institutions. There are over 1900 journal titles and more than 1,9 million articles included.
KRpia is a full-text database including reference works and primary sources such as dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and archival material on Korean history, literature, civilization etc.
Access to DBpia and KRpia for Helsinki University is possible through cooperation with the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies and with support from the Korea Foundation.
