University of Helsinki has access to Society of Exploration Geophysicists Library, SEG Library, to the end of June.
SEG Library includes scientific journals, ebooks and abstracts of annual and global meetings. Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (JEEG) sekä Encyclopedic Dictionary of Applied Geophysics are available.

On Wednesday May 29th libraries are open as follows:
– Main Library 8-18, customer service 10-18
– Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki Campus Libraries 8-16, customer service 10-16
Learning Centres Aleksandria and Minerva are open 8-17:45.
On Thursday May 30th (Ascension Day) libraries and learning centres are closed.
Aleksandria can be accessed with the magnetic key.
Long loan periods will start on May 23th for books with a 28 day loan period, 6.6. for 14 day loans and 18.6. for two day loans. These elongated loan periods do not affect books loaned from the Main Library Kaisa House, as it is open whole the summer.
When the campus libraries are closed, you can contact the Main Library Kaisa House customer service at the 3rd floor which is open with regular opening hours until Midsummer. Starting on 24.6. the customer service is open Mon-Fri 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
On Thursday, May 16, Kumpula Campus Library’s customer service desk is closed due to the staff development day. Library premises are open and available on a self-service basis 8-18.
At the Self Service Library you can borrow and return material as well as use work stations and study.

New Editori service for open access publishing and teaching of publishing practices will be launched on May 21st 2019. In the kick-off event we will also tell you more about other publishing services of the library.

Experts from the Student Services and the Library will guide you through submitting your digital Master’s thesis and give advice concerning thesis assessment, approval, publishing and archiving. If your thesis has already been approved, you can also permit its publication in the open publication repository.

There is no night use in the Learning Centre Aleksandria between 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st.
