on 10-26 November in the entrance lobby of Kaisa House.
The E-point is open from Monday to Wednesday at 14-16.

The trial is restricted to Helsinki University students, faculty, staff and the local users in the National Library and Helsinki University Library. and in the units of the Helsinki University Library.

EBSCO’s Academic Collection which was on trial during the first months of this autumn has been now acquired.
There are more than 130 000 e-books. They are from varying publishers and subject fields. You can not yet find them through HELKA or BookNavigator but you can browse them in EBSCO’s interface.
You can read the books online or download them on your mobile device to read them off-line. Guidance and hints for downloading can be found in our E-books Guide or in EBSCO’s Dowloading eBooks Tutorial.
MOT Collection collection is widening. New acquisitions:
Using e-books acquired by the library online is normally quite easy. For downloading them on your mobile device you may need some help. If you encounter any problems in using e-books , remember the Library’s E-books guide which is now available also in English!

The staff and students of the University of Helsinki have now access to about 140 000 “extra” eBooks owing to the trials for a few large eBook packages.
The trial for EBSCOhost eBook Collection provides over 130 000 eBooks (til October 31) . There are books in the fields of all campus but the focus is in the fields of the city centre campus.
The Trial for CRCnetBASE (til October 15) provides over 13 000 eBooks from Taylor & Francis Group. The books available are mostly in the fields of science, technology and medicine but there are a few titles in the fields of social sciences and law, too.

Loeb Classical Library is a series of books, today published by Harvard University Press, which presents important works of ancient Greek and Latin literature in a way designed to make the text accessible to the broadest possible audience, by presenting the original Greek or Latin text on each left-hand page, and a fairly literal translation on the facing page.
