Kaisa Library’s second anniversary

Kaisa House staff would like to thank you for the past years and wish you all welcome again!

Helsinki University Main Library (Kaisa House) opened two years ago, September 3rd, 2012. During these two years there have been:
– 2 695 811 visitors
– 778 456 loans
– 810 768 returns
– 134 893 reserved items
– 15 431 new customers.

Customers have mostly praised spaciousness and lightness of the lovely house, but at the same time complained about the noise and visitor groups.

There’s been complaints also about the inadequacy of reading places. On this account we have increased the number of chairs and specifyed the guidelines of reservation.
