Welcome to the webpage of the SYLFF Association of the University of Helsinki!

SYLFF stands for The Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund of the Tokyo Foundation. SYLFF grants are awarded annually at the University of Helsinki to PhD candidates working in the fields of International Relations, Social and Cultural Anthropology, and Asian and African Studies. The association was established in 2004 to facilitate the network activities of the current and previous SYLFF grant holders.
