The opening carnival and party – Welcome to University of Helsinki

Welcome to the opening of the academic year on the 2 of September from 2pm-6pm at the university´s main building at Fabiankatu 33.
OPENING CARNIVAL
From 2pm to 6pm the City Centre Campus will be filled with carnival atmosphere when the University, the Student Union, student nations, subject associations and interest clubs will present themselves to the new and old students in the Main Building and Porthania. The carnival includes music, dance, performances, beverages and snacks, presentations of different organizations, etc. The complete program will be available on the HYY website at the end of August. If you want to find a nice organization to join, and have fun with other students with the same interest as you, this is the place to be.

OPENING PARTY
The Opening day of the Academic year gets an awesome ending at the Old Student House, where the Don Johnson Big Band takes to the stage. The party starts at 8 pm at The Old Student house, also known as Wanha, that can be found at Mannerheimintie 3
Tickets: 8 euros for HYY members, sold at Café Vanha (Old Student House) and HYY stand at the Opening Carnival. 12 euros for others and from Tiketti. Please, be prepared to pay a lobby service fee of 3 euros.
