Are you in need of a peaceful place to finish your thesis? Is there a subject you would like to organise a study circle about? Or are you part of a student organisation and would like to take a study trip or organise a conference? If you answered yes to one or several of these questions then read on!

The Get Your Master’s Thesis Written! -grant, grants for student organisations and study circles are now open for application. The application time is 16.10.2013 12:00 – 6.11.2013 15:00 (Finnish time).

The Get Your Master’s Thesis Written! -grant offers individual master’s level students of the University of Helsinki an intensive one- or two-week period at Hyytiälä, Lammi, Tvärminne, Värriö, or Kilpisjärvi research stations to work on their master’s thesis. The grant covers room and board. You can apply for the grant twice a year in Spring and in Autumn. On the current application round you can apply for grants that must be used before July 2014.

Student groups operating under the University of Helsinki that would like to organise a study circle can apply for a study circle grant to cover the expenses of the study circle’s teacher’s salary. The aim of the study circle is to provide an opportunity for students to gain a deeper knowledge in their own field of study through small group discussions.

Grants for student organisations are available for student organisations within the University of Helsinki who are planning a study trip within Finland and abroad, organising seminars or congresses or visits by student organisations from abroad. The awarded student organisations commit to writing one blog writing to the use of the university.
