University of Helsinki
The application period for the grants and scholarships from the University of Helsinki Funds and funding from the Research Foundation begins tomorrow. The application time is 21.1.2014 8.00 o’clock – 4.2.2014 15.00 o’clock (3:00 p.m. Finnish time).
The University of Helsinki Funds awards grants and scholarships for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students as well as researchers. All funds awarding grants are based on donations to the university. The funds offer grants and scholarships only to students and researchers of the University of Helsinki (the only exception is The Cooperative Teaching and Research Fund).
Research Foundation invites applications for 13 doctoral student positions. The positions are directed for young researchers at the beginning stage of their doctoral studies at the UH. All doctoral students at the UH can apply. If you are not yet accepted as a doctoral student of the university you are required to ask a Full Professor of the University of Helsinki for a recommendation for doctoral studies. Undergraduate students of the UH do not require a professor’s recommendation.
All applications and recommendations are registered using an electronic application system Aava. The system can be accessed with a University of Helsinki user account.
