Global processes and flows in the Eurasian space

Our site brings together the diverse research projects conducted or coordinated by the Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki, that  focus on the ways in which various global processes and flows emerge in the Eurasian context.   In geographic terms, our research and activities focus on the post-socialist space where we examine globalized societal transformation through such topics as governance, migration, religion, and informality.

Since 2023 we participate in the Finnish Central Asia Network.
