  • 13-15 August, the research project was one of the partners of “Immigrants and Civil Society”, the 16th Nordic Migration Research Conference & the 9th ETMU Days, at University of Turku, Finland.
  • 6 September, Professor He Quimin (College of Philosophy & Religious studies Minzu University, Beijing) gave a lecture “Understanding diversified Chinese culture from the religious properties of Chinese minority ethnic groups. The case of Chinese Muslim ethnic groups” at the University of Helsinki. This public lecture was hosted by the research project, together with the Study of Religions, University of Helsinki.
  • 13 November, Professor Tuula Sakaranaho and Dr. Oliver Scharbrodt gave a lecture “Researching Islam in Ireland: Issues and Challenges” at Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin. The lecture was part of the Trinity Long Room Hub’s Lecture Series on Religion(s), Ethics and Cultural Engagement.   • 2 March, Mr. Mounir Azzaoui, (M.A.), gave a lecture “Muslim Organizations in Germany on the Way to an Official Recognition? – Basics, Challenges and Perspectives” at the University of Helsinki. The lecture was hosted by the research project.
